Ms. Dumalisile is a seasoned public administrator with more than 20 years’ experience in government, 14 of which have been at senior management level. She is currently pursuing an MBA and is a proud holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance obtained from Monash University, South Africa. She joined government in 1996 as an Assistant Director in the Eastern Cape and moved to National Transport Department as a Deputy Director in 2000. She later joined the Limpopo Provincial Administration; Department of Transport in 2003 as a District Manager in Waterberg. Based on her sterling performance while managing the Department of Transport’s flagship programme Arrive Alive campaigns both in the Eastern Cape and the National Office, she was later transferred to the Limpopo Department of Transport in March 2004 to head Communications and ICT.
In 2005, she was reassigned to the Strategic Management and Policy Co-ordination unit in the same Department where she became responsible for the coordination of strategic management, performance management and policy coordination in the department. In 2007, she was then appointed as General Manager responsible for Corporate Services in an acting capacity. In August 2008, she joined the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) as a General Manager responsible for Corporate Services a position she occupied until 2011.
She left for the Eastern Cape later in 2011 when she was appointed as Head of Department for Safety and Liaison where she served successful two (2) full terms. During her tenure, she did a lot in transforming the department. This was a responsibility she dispensed with diligence and was rewarded with two (2) clean audits. Her department was consequently used as a benchmark especially with regards to administration and governance related matters throughout the whole of the Eastern Cape. Inspired by her hard work and performance, the Premier of the Eastern Cape decided to appoint her as Head of Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs of that province in an acting capacity. This is the last position she occupied in government before landing this new responsibility in our province as an Accounting Officer and Head of Department of CoGHSTA.
