Mr. Azwindini Jeremiah Dingaa Ndou



Mr. Azwindini Jeremiah Dingaa Ndou, is a seasoned leader in the struggle against apartheid and its social injustices and inhumanity. Having led the student and youth movement, in various capacities, he caught the eye of his generation who saw potential in his leadership capabilities and elected him to various positions in the former liberation movement and governing party in South Africa, the African National Congress.

He served as the President of the Student Representative Council during his time at the University of Venda and went on to become the National Executive Committee member of the African National Congress Youth League, where he served as the Secretary for International Affairs.

He served the people of South Africa as the Member of the South African Parliament after the first democratic elections. His immense contribution in the international knowledge hub of diplomatic core, made strides for him to be an obvious choice for various diplomatic postings as an Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Libya and Ireland.

He served the African National Congress in various capacities in the province of Limpopo. He is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the governing party in the Limpopo Province and a leader of the Government Business in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. He is the former Member of the Executive Council for the Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure in Limpopo.

After the 2017 Executive Council reconfiguration, Mr. Ndou was deployed to provide Executive Authority function to the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs. He is, amongst other key positions, a member of the Limpopo Aids Council and co-Chairs the Provincial Infrastructure Coordinating Structure.
